Shahganj – After the video of the Lekhpal posted in the Tehsil premises demanding and taking bribe in the name of making a birth certificate went viral on social media on Wednesday, action has been taken and the Lekhpal has been suspended with immediate effect. If we look at the matter, Renu Gupta, a Lekhpal posted in the local tehsil, was working on making birth certificates in the office located in the SDM office.
During that time, someone made a video of demanding and taking a bribe of Rs 500 from a farmer in the name of making a birth certificate and made it viral on social media. There was a stir in the Tehsil premises due to the news of the viral video. If sources are to be believed, the Lekhpal who took bribe is very special to the SDM. Whose discussion was in full swing in the Tehsil premises.
When asked in this regard, Sub-District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Chaurasia had said that the video of demanding and taking bribe has come to notice. Appropriate action will be taken after investigating the facts and orders have been given under this.
