Along with this, some changes can also be made in the rules for selling Ayurveda medicines. History of Ayurveda
Ayurveda is an ancient medical science that has been practiced in India for at least 5,000 years. Its name comes from the Sanskrit words “ayur” (life) and “veda” (knowledge). This ancient medical system was already mentioned in the Vedas and Puranas. Nowadays Ayurveda is integrated with other traditional practices including yoga. Ayurveda was discovered in India and most of the people here use Ayurveda. The World Health Organization has also recognized it in 1976. According to the University of Minnesota’s Center for Spirituality and Healing, the use of Ayurveda is also increasing in the Western world. But Ayurveda is still considered alternative medicine.
