Speaking at the Advantage Assam 2.0 business conference on Wednesday, World Bank Country Director Auguste Tano Koume said that despite a slight slowdown, India’s future is bright and we are positive about the country’s economic prospects.
The World Bank Country Director said that a slight decline in India’s growth rate is possible, but we are not worried about it at this time. Talking further about India’s growth rate, he said that a fluctuation of just one percent will not change the World Bank’s positive view of the Indian economy because India is the best destination for investment at this time.
According to PTI, Auguste Tano Kouame said that if anyone is tensed about the current GDP figures, then we would say there is nothing to worry about, India is a shining star in the world. If you are planning to invest, then come to India and invest, the growth of the Indian economy makes it a favorite destination for investment.
It is worth noting that for the current financial year, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has projected the economic growth rate in December 2024 at 7.2 percent, while it was 8.2 percent in the same quarter of the previous financial year. Meanwhile, if we look at the report of ANI, World Bank’s Country Director for India Auguste Tano Kouame has said that the World Bank is also considering increasing its financial assistance to India, which also includes its partner institutions.
This good news from the World Bank comes at a time when foreign investors are continuously selling their shares in the Indian stock markets. In such a situation, this statement of the Country Director of the World Bank can prove to be influential on investors’ sentiments, not only in the stock markets, but due to increased foreign investment in all sectors of the country, the growth rate can get further boost.
