
IAS Ravi Kumar Sihag: The documents of Ravi Kumar Sihag, an Indian Administrative Service officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, will be investigated. The Central Government has sought a report from the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan regarding Sihag’s economically weaker section certificate and income certificate. The Personnel Ministry of the Central Government is investigating the documents submitted at the time of appointment of many IAS, IPS and IRS officers including Sihag. Some of these cases are also related to Rajasthan. Information has been received from sources that Sihag’s case is also included in these.
It is worth noting that the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) of the Central Government has asked the Rajasthan Government to investigate the authenticity of the Income and Assets (I&A) certificate submitted by an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Which he used to avail the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota in the Civil Services Examination in 2021.
IAS Ravi Kumar Sihag, a resident of Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan, was born on 2 November 1995. His father Ramkumar Sihag is a farmer and mother Vimala Devi is a housewife. IAS officer Ravi Kumar Sihag is the only brother among three sisters. He had given 4 attempts for the UPSC exam, out of which he was successful in 3. In the first attempt in the year 2018, he got 337th rank and Indian Defense Accounts Service (IDAS) cadre and in the second attempt in the year 2019, he got 317th rank and Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) cadre. In the third attempt in the year 2020, he could not even clear the main examination.
Finally, in his fourth attempt in 2021, he secured the 18th rank. Ravi Kumar Sihag was a Hindi-medium candidate and secured the 18th rank. According to this, Ravi Kumar Sihag was the topper of Hindi medium in the UPSC exam 2021.
